Will Poulter height is most reliably reported as 6′ 2″ (1.88 m), though his own IMDb page also lists a slightly taller figure of 6′ 3″ (1.91 m). The English actor, born in London on January 28, 1993, has drawn consistent attention for his tall frame throughout his career.
The question of how tall Will Poulter is has followed the actor since his breakout role in Son of Rambow at age 14. Journalists who meet him in person frequently describe him as noticeably taller than expected. A 2014 profile in Shortlist noted that he seemed stretched to 6ft 2in, while a Scotsman writer the same year called him a 6ft 2in gentle giant. Even Poulter himself has acknowledged the public’s fixation, telling The Hollywood Reporter in 2025 that people often say, “You’re taller than I thought you’d be,” adding that he grew up short, which shaped his personality.
The IMDb biography for Poulter lists his height as 6′ 2″ (1.88 m), a figure echoed by Filmaffinity, MyCast, and Esquire Australia. However, the IMDb FAQ page for the actor provides a different answer: 6 feet 3 inches, or 1.91 meters. This internal discrepancy on the same database reflects the broader confusion that surrounds celebrity height listings. A 2024 interview in Mob magazine explicitly pointed out this contradiction, telling readers they would find 6’2″ on CelebrityHeights.com but 6′ 3¼″ on his IMDb page.
Some outlets have settled on the taller figure. Junkee described him as having a 6’3 height in 2021, and a 2020 Korean-language blog post cited a 2014 radio interview where Poulter allegedly stated he was 190.5cm (6 feet 3 inches) and suggested he stopped growing at that point. These accounts, while less authoritative than major entertainment databases, contribute to the persistent 6’2″ versus 6’3″ debate.Quick Bio: Will Poulter
Note: Age and net worth are estimates that fluctuate over time; height is a commonly cited figure with minor variations across sources.
One outlier listing claims Poulter is 5 ft 9 in (1.75 m), a figure that contradicts every in-person description, industry database, and photographic comparison available. Given that multiple journalists have stood next to him and reported 6ft 2in or taller, and that his own IMDb biography lists 6′ 2″, the 5’9″ figure appears to be an error rather than a credible measurement.
The most detailed analysis of Poulter’s height comes from CelebrityHeights.com, a site dedicated to estimating celebrity stature through photographic comparisons. Contributors there generally settle on a range of 188cm to 189cm, or roughly 6’2″ to 6’2.25″, with some arguing he could stretch to 6’2.5″ on a good day. One commenter compared him favorably to actors like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, placing Poulter in the “solid 6’2″ range”. These estimates, while not official, align with the 6’2″ figure reported by mainstream sources.
For context, 6’2″ places Poulter above the average height for British men, which is approximately 5’9″. It also makes him taller than several of his notable co-stars. In The Maze Runner (2014), he appeared alongside Dylan O’Brien, who is generally listed around 5’10”, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who is shorter still. In We’re the Millers (2013), he acted opposite Jason Sudeikis, listed around 6’1″, and Jennifer Aniston, listed at 5’5″. These comparisons help explain why Poulter often stands out physically in ensemble casts.
Poulter’s height has even influenced how industry observers imagine him in certain roles. When he was cast in Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series in 2019, multiple outlets noted that at 6’2″, he seemed better suited to playing an elf than a hobbit. The casting news, reported by Variety and covered by fan sites, treated his stature as a relevant detail for speculation about his character. Poulter ultimately departed the project, but the discussion illustrated how his physical presence shapes public perception.
The most authoritative sources converge on 6′ 2″ (1.88 m) as the safest figure to cite. The IMDb biography, Filmaffinity, and multiple in-person journalist accounts all support this number. The 6′ 3″ figure on the IMDb FAQ page may reflect rounding or an older measurement. For readers seeking a single answer, 6′ 2″ is the most consistently verified height for Will Poulter. What is Will Poulter’s exact height?
